We are pleased to invite submissions for the 2025 edition of CAPSI – the Annual Conference of the Portuguese Association for Information Systems (APSI), which is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). CAPSI 2025 will be organized by the University of the Azores, in Ponta Delgada (Azores, Portugal), from October 16th to 18th, 2025.
In the context of global social and environmental challenges, the role of Information Systems (IS) in promoting sustainability has never been more critical.
CAPSI 2025 invites the submission of papers that explore how IS can support sustainable practices in business and society. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and practice-oriented papers that contribute to advancing knowledge on IS and sustainability across various domains, including (but not limited to):

◇ R&D methods and techniques in IS
◇ Human-computer interaction in IS
◇ IS organization and management
◇ Planning and development methodologies and practices in IS

◇ IS for health and well-being
◇ IS for smart cities (intelligence in cities)
◇ IS and responsible, inclusive, and explainable artificial intelligence
◇ IS and generative artificial intelligence
◇ IS and organizational transformation
The documents to be submitted must be written in Portuguese or English.
The papers, which will be considered full-papers, should have a maximum of 6000 words, research-in-progress papers should have a maximum of 4000 words, and posters should have a maximum of 1000 words. All must follow the format defined for the Conference.
The papers must be submitted electronically through the EasyChair platform, in PDF format (.pdf). Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers in a double-blind review process. Authors should omit any references to their names and contact information throughout the paper, including the references section.
The conference is SCOPUS indexed.
